This question have been eating me alive. Even though I know that Wu Cheng'en wrote Journey to the West, there is a slight possibility that Sun Wukong is real. Wu Cheng'en didn't actually make everything all up. He heard stories and just compose them all together. I gotta know what you guys & gals think. Am I just crazy for actually thinking Monkey King is real and up there in heaven right now, surfing the web and reading everything I wrote about him in this site??

Do you believe that Monkey King really exist? (Result)

It's a lovely thought. But improbable. Hell, I love to fantasize Wu Kong's really somewhere up there picking fights with other immortals, or stealing peaches again, or just playing with his monkeys....... *sigh* But we have to accept the fact that he's just a fictional character T__T But in a way, he's alive you know? In our hearts.

lolzz you know how JttW was published anonymously and up til now people are only about 99% sure that Wu Cheng En's the author of it? So I was thinking, maybe, just maybe, Sun Wu Kong himself wrote the story of his adventures and got it circulated in the mortal world!

No, I'm just stating a possibility, I repeat, a possibility.

Btw, more info on this:

JttW was mostly based on the true story of Xuan Zang who went to India to study at Nalanda University and get the scriptures - later, after his death, his disciples complied a book telling the story of his journey. I think in this book it was said that Sanzang met 'Hou Xing Zhe', the monkey character, who protected him on his journey. Historians naturally dismissed this as a ploy by the disciples to portray Xuan Zang as magical, powerful, etc.... But come to think of it, if the book was talking about Xuan Zang's true life, then maybe the monkey character was real as well? Again, mere possibilities, nothing more. Just something for you to think about.

I choose to believe. It's like the christian believe in God and pray to him, I believe in Monkey King. How about a new religion? This one loosely based on Buddhism and instead of worshiping the Buddha we worship the Monkey King. Any followers??

Uhh~ But I think it's only fair to add that I'm kind of an agnostic and don't take religion very seriously anyway. Sry~

That's alright. Of all the religion in the world I am not really into them either. Wouldn't it be best to create our own religion, make our own rules, and follow our own believe? It's not too long ago that Joseph Smith create the Mormon and now there are a lot of followers.

lolzzz yeah~! I mean, take Allah for example. No one can prove he exists, and no one can prove he doesn't exist. Same with Wu Kong. So why not believe in HIM? XDD At least it's more fun that way~~~ wahahahaha~~~~ XDDD
