His mission is to retrieve a revolutionary manuscript stolen centuries before by the evil emperor, Shu (Duk Kim), who wanted to stop time so that China could keep to the values of its past. On his journey he also meet the Monkey King (Russell Wong), Pigsy, and Friar Sand. Together they fight demons and monsters created by Shu to stop them. Nick and Kuan Yin eventually fall in love. Because Kuan Yin is a goddess, she is not allow to love a mortal, so she is force to end the relationship or else she would lose all her power. In the end, Nick retrieve the Journey to the West original script and the world is save. <br /><br />I watch this movie when it aired on NBC in 2001. I was sitting on the sofa flipping the channels and I caught a glimpse of what look like Monkey King, so I watched it. If you read what I wrote earlier, I am not very fond of this movie, because of the romance between Kuan Yin and the mortal guy; and also because of how they portray Kuan Yin. Has anyone here watch this movie yet? What do you think about this movie? What do you guy like and dislike about this movie? </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p> <a href="http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=707914&amp;owner=ngokhong" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/ngokhong/LostEmpire/lostempire_01.jpg" border="0" /></a><br><a href="http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=707912&amp;owner=ngokhong" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/ngokhong/LostEmpire/lostempire_03.jpg" border="0" /></a><br><a href="http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=707918&amp;owner=ngokhong" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/ngokhong/LostEmpire/lostempire_04.jpg" border="0" /></a> <br><a href="http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=707913&amp;owner=ngokhong" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/ngokhong/LostEmpire/lostempire_05.jpg" border="0" /></a><br> <a href="http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=707916&amp;owner=ngokhong" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/ngokhong/LostEmpire/lostempire_06.jpg" border="0" /></a> <br> <a href="http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=707915&amp;owner=ngokhong" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/ngokhong/LostEmpire/lostempire_07.jpg" border="0" /></a><br><a href="http://www.shareapic.net/content.php?id=707917&amp;owner=ngokhong" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v420/ngokhong/LostEmpire/lostempire_02.jpg" border="0" /></a> </p> <p>&nbsp;</p><hr><p>***sources: ***<br /> </p><p><a href="http://rottentomatoes.com"> RottenTomatoes.COM</a></p><p><a href="http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/movie.html?v_id=240827">NY Times </a> </p>
